Celebrate the art and tradition storytelling with Ottawa StoryTellers. This showcase features a collection of storytellers sharing life-changing tales, with a mix of personal and traditional stories. In addition to the 90-minute show, the evening will include a delightful intermission reception in the Arts Court Studio.
You'll hear from OST favourites, Alan Shain and Jennifer Cayley, and (un)told host, David Brennan. Alan tells of the night that launched his comedy career, when he launched himself off the stage, quite accidentally. David sets the scene of his tale, "in the harbour mist - in the tower treasure - the points of no return where lives are changed forever." CBC's Adrian Harewood will share a story about how his journey intersects with the legacy of Viola Desmond. Pat Moore and Roland Doucet complete the program with their musical talents, and a shared personal story about their life-changing partnership.
The event launches our 2018 fundraising campaign. Fundraising is vital for our charitable organization's ability to continue presenting great shows in great spaces, promoting the art of storytelling, offering workshops, and connecting with the national storytelling community.
Tickets are $25 and are sold through the Arts Court box office.
